Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after voting for H.R. 6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, a bipartisan $14.3 billion aid package to Israel that passed the House this evening:

“Israel is our closest ally in the Middle East, and they need our unwavering support now more than ever.

“Hamas and their financial backers in Iran have been clear they want even more innocent people dead and the Jewish state of Israel destroyed.

“Time is of the essence, and this legislation provides Israel with the resources they need to defend themselves and defeat Hamas. Now the Senate needs to act swiftly to support our ally in their hour of need.”
