Yakym Votes for Trio of Security Assistance Bills for Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after voting for three security assistance bills:

“Right now the world is more chaotic and dangerous than at any point in recent memory, in large part because of President Biden’s manifold weakness. Only strong and resolute American leadership can provide our allies with the security assistance they need and deter our enemies from being emboldened to make further provocations.

“These three bills will give our close ally Israel the tools they need to defend themselves against threats from Iran and their terrorist proxies, deter Xi Jinping and the CCP’s authoritarian threats against Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific, and check Vladimir Putin’s aggression in Ukraine.

“Especially in light of Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel last weekend, the time to act is now. I am glad we did so and encourage the Senate to pass these three bills immediately.”
