Yakym Statement on Baseless ICC Arrest Warrant Requests for Israeli Officials

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan baselessly announced his intent to seek arrest warrants for Israeli military and government officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant:

“The ICC has no ability or authority to enforce these baseless arrest warrant requests. I fully support Israel’s sovereignty and their inherent right to self-defense as they protect their people and fight back against Hamas terrorists who attacked them on October 7th.”
