Hoosiers Can Learn the Basics of Medicare Enrollment on Webinar Released on October 18

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) announced that his office will host a virtual “Medicare 101” educational session that will be released to the public as a video presentation on October 18, 2023. Once released, Hoosiers can view the online informational webinar to learn about the basics of Medicare, including enrollment, and have FAQ’s answered by an expert.

There are few federal programs that more Americans use each year than Medicare,” said Congressman Yakym. “As your federal representative and voice in Washington, I want to make sure Hoosiers fully understand how Medicare works and are aware of the options and benefits available to seniors. That’s why if you are at or near retirement age, or you are a caregiver for someone enrolled in Medicare, this webinar is for you.”

A member of Congressman Yakym’s team and a Medicare specialist from Indiana’s State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) will present information about the basics of Medicare and answer FAQ’s. Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment Period will run from October 15 to December 7.
