Congressman Yakym Votes for Measure That Passes House to Overturn Biden’s WOTUS Rule

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after voting for H.J. Res. 27, a measure to overturn the Biden Administration’s ‘Waters of the United States’ (WOTUS) rule: 

“Today’s vote is a win for every farmer, small business, and landowner that has been a victim of an overzealous, overreaching administrative state.  

“America won’t be able to maintain the affordable and abundant food supply we need if our ag producers have to contend with radical environmentalists and regulators in the Biden administration at every turn. Fortunately, today House Republicans took a strong stand for commonsense by voting to overturn this flawed and burdensome rule.

“I will continue to be a strong voice in favor of cutting red tape and getting the federal government off the backs of the hardworking men and women who feed our people and power our economy.”
