Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) participated in his first Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing as a member of the 118th Congress. At the hearing, titled “The State of Transportation Infrastructure and Supply Chain Challenges,” Congressman Yakym questioned witnesses on how inflation fueled by Democrats’ reckless spending has affected the cost of infrastructure projects and is contributing to America’s current supply chain challenges: “It’s clear that reckless spending from the last two years has stoked runaway inflation. From the food on the table, to the table itself, to the trucks and trains transporting the food and tables, Americans were hit hard in the last two years with inflation,” said Congressman Yakym. “I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues to get inflation under control and put our fiscal house in order.” Click HERE or below to see Congressman Yakym’s full remarks and line of questioning at today’s committee hearing. |
